J. Cumby Construction awarded bid for Livingston water plant renovations

LIVINGSTON – The city of Livingston has selected a contractor to update its water plant. J. Cumby Construction of Cookeville was awarded the bid to upgrade the plant’s equipment.

The project, which is currently underway, includes replacing and/or upgrading the system’s electrical equipment (which was installed in 1963 and 1982), furnishing and installing three new high service pumps, and performing various other modifications. Shutdowns will be limited to 16 hours and should have minimum impact on the public.

“We’re honored to have been chosen by the city council and to put our skills and expertise to work for Livingston residents,” said Justin Cumby, president of J.
