Inaugural Highlands Industrial Trade Show deemed a success

COOKEVILLE – The inaugural Highlands Industrial Trade Show took place this past Thursday, and more than 40 regional vendors showcased their business capabilities and goods.

The trade show was the first of its kind in the Highlands region and is the only industrial trade show of its kind held in the mid-state. The event provided opportunities for inter-regional networking, allowing businesses to keep economic interests local – from shipping and staffing solutions, large-scale supply purchasing and fabrication, to name a few.

“For a first year event, we were pleased with the turn out,” said Jonathan West, steering committee chairman for the Highlands Economic Partnership, which helped host the event.

Added Randy Adams, existing industry committee chairman, “If one company is able to source a part locally, this show has been a success. The opportunities afforded to industries at the show will be a ripple effect in the consciousness of a healthy, growing Highlands economy.”
