COOKEVILLE – Highlands Young Professionals (YP) is gearing back up! The recently restructured Highlands Young Professionals, also known as Highlands YP, is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at The Blue Pig in Cookeville.
The theme for the event will coincide with the kickoff of college football season, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite team’s gear! Admittance to the event will be free and complimentary hors – d’oeuvres will be available.
Highlands YP is an initiative of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. The program aims to engage and empower young professionals to shape the future of companies and communities in the Upper Cumberland region.
Amy New, President and CEO of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, noted, “We are eager to reignite Highlands Young Professionals and provide a superior networking opportunity to business professionals in our service region and create the capability for relationship building and multi-community growth.”
Highlands YP, established in 2019, was designed to provide a networking opportunity for young professionals ages 21 – 45 in the Upper Cumberland to establish business relationships and potential future employment opportunities. The Highlands YP group will meet quarterly and rotate venues within the four-county Highlands’ service area including Putnam, Overton, Jackson and White Counties.
