Heraeus celebrates expansion in Morgan Co.

MORGAN COUNTY – Precious metals refiner Heraeus celebrated the expansion of its Wartburg facility on Wednesday. Heraeus is the latest German company to invest in Tennessee. Commissioner Rolfe joined Sen. Ken Yager and company officials for the recent official ribbon cutting ceremony.

Heraeus Metal Processing, a world leader in manufacturing, refining and trading precious metals, produces a variety of gold, iridium, osmium, palladium, platinum, rhenium, rhodium, ruthenium and silver compounds.

Headquartered in Hanau, Germany, Heraeus chose Morgan County for its central location and availability of skilled workers. Heraeus employs more than 12,500 people in its 38 locations around the world.
