COOKEVILLE – The American Job Center (AJC) has scheduled a health-care-focused virtual job fair for April 7. Seven employers have committed to participate in the event with several more in talks to participate. Available jobs range from care givers and CNAs to Registered Nurses, and employers will be prepared to make employment offers on the spot.

This is one the most effective, convenient methods currently available to connecting employers and job seekers in a safe, socially distanced manner. Job seekers are encouraged to contact the AJC participate by visiting 1000 England Dr., Suite 101 or calling (931) 520-6020.

The virtual job fair is being presented using Premier Virtual, a very user-friendly virtual event platform that allows an employer to construct a “booth” that jobseekers can visit during their time at the event. This platform allows the inclusion of videos about participating companies, business biographical information, links to useful information on company websites, and most of all, the capability to post job openings employers are seeking to fill.  Employers can have direct contact with jobseekers through recruiting staff using chat and video conferencing technology incorporated in the platform.

For companies that have not participated in a Premier Virtual event yet, AJC emphasizes that they are incredibly user friendly. AJC provides a 30-minute video showing employers how best to capitalize on all the functionality of the platform. The video can be viewed at https://youtu.be/sdQBHtTeXxg

Employers interested in participating in the virtual job fair or with general questions are encouraged to email james.b.simpson@tn.gov for more information.
