Shop is in front of the railcar event space

(UCBJ)Tennessee Central Soda Shop (TCSS) celebrated its grand opening at 123 E Commercial Avenue in downtown Monterey with the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, local officials and the public out in force.

“Today we celebrated the grand opening of Tennessee Central Soda Shop in downtown Monterey,” the Chamber said in a release.

TCSS serves:

  • premium ice cream
  • sodas
  • coffees
  • soups
  • salads
  • sandwiches

Grand Opening – Soda shop celebrated its new spot in downtown Monterey.

The shop is in front of The Southwind – Monterey Depot Dining Car, a fully restored 1940s Santa Fe dining car at 1 E Depot Street in Monterey. The car was brought back to life as  a “one-of-a-kind” venue.

The restaurant and Soda Shop together in one place make “it the perfect stop for everything from a quick lunch to a sweet afternoon treat,” according to the Chamber. “… Tennessee Central Soda Shop is a wonderful gathering place for friends, families and visitors alike. We’re so glad to welcome them to the community.”
