Expansion comes after record-breaking numbers at Buck’s Cookeville location
Baskin-Robbins (BR), the world’s largest chain of specialty ice cream shops, hosted the grand opening of its newest drive-thru-only Baskin-Robbins shop in Algood at 652 West Main Street on Saturday, Mar. 29.
BR franchisee Tyler Buck hosted the shop’s official ribbon cutting (which included a “free ice cream for a year giveaway) and presented a $1,000 donation to Putnam Education Foundation of Tennessee on behalf of his franchise network, Buck LLC.
“Opening my second Baskin-Robbins location in Cookeville is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to bring even more smiles to the Algood community,” said Baskin-Robbins franchisee, Tyler Buck. “From my first job at 16 to now owning multiple locations, Baskin-Robbins has been a huge part of my journey, and I’m honored to continue serving our guests and supporting this wonderful community with our unique drive-thru only concept.”

The expansion comes after record-breaking numbers at Buck’s Cookeville location in 2023. Buck opened BR in Cookeville in July 2022 and has employed 23 people.
Designed to make it easier than ever to connect with others over ice cream, the reimagined drive-thru only design guests can conveniently celebrate the happiness ice cream brings to every moment, big or small. As the first drive-thru-only location in Tennessee, the shop spans 1,055 square feet, employs 30 Team Members, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Key features of the new location include:
- Modern design: The special drive-thru only design features contemporary décor with bright colors to spark joy, creating a premium experience for guests to share special moments or get their ice cream on the go. It also features a walk-up window and patio seating for those looking to enjoy their ice cream outside.
- Walk-up Order Window: As an alternative to the drive-thru,guests can also order their favorite treats at the walk-up window and enjoy them on the patio.
- Upgraded drive-thru digital menu boards: An entirely newdigital menu board engagingly displays products with high-quality photos and video imagery.
