Food Lion To Go is a go

Cookeville – The battle of the grocers continues, and Food Lion has just made a big move. The Food Lion at 377 West Jackson street on Jackson Plaza in Cookeville recently cut the ribbon on its new “Food Lion To Go Service.”

With the service, customers can order ahead for curbside pickup or have groceries delivered.

“Making shopping easy for our neighbors is important to us,” according to the grocery giant. “Now you can get the same fresh, affordable products and MVP pricing you know and love when you order at shop.foodlion.com or on our mobile app, leaving you more time to spend with family and friends doing the things that matter most to you.”

According to Food Lion, Groceries are delivered in as little as two hours and there will be a $3.99 fee for orders over $35. If you want it faster the price goes up to $5.99. For orders less than $35 it will cost $7.99 ($9.99 for hour delivery).

“Enhancing your grocery shopping experience, Food Lion has introduced brand-new curbside pickup parking spaces,” said the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. “Make your next trip to the store a breeze by ordering ahead for convenient curbside pickup or opt for home delivery!”

Delivery is available Monday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Want to pick up? Just order and park. The fee is $1.99 for orders over $35 ($3.99 for orders less than that) and Pickup hours are Monday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
