Members of America’s newest premium racetrack can now drive on the 23-turn circuit following 20 months of construction.
Flatrock Motorclub, America’s newest premier motorsports club, will officially open its state-of-the-art 3.5- mile, 23-turn ‘Club’ track in Westel, Tennessee, this Thursday Oct. 24.
Flatrock’s Founding Partner, Rusty Bittle, along with founding members and staff, will participate in a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark this exciting milestone and celebrate two years of development and construction on this world-class facility.
“Being a part of the community and designing in Flatrock Motorclub is truly an honor,” said Shawn Fisher of Tennessee based Shawn Fisher Designs the design company tasked with designing the club. “It means bringing visions to life and being a part of something that will last for generations to come. It’s been nothing short of an absolute pleasure working with the team. I’m sure I speak for all of us here at Shawn Fisher Design and Flatrock Motorclub when I say we can’t wait to see all the Members enjoying this beautiful destination. Flatrock Motorclub truly is a special, one-of-a-kind community!”
Flatrock Motorclub’s newly opened track features 127 feet of elevation changes and promises an “exhilarating driving experience, with GT3 car simulations showing an average speed of 101 mph”.
Coming in 2025, the Flatrock Karting Track and the Members’ Clubhouse will enhance the club’s offerings while Future plans include additional developments including a Grand Prix track, hotel, restaurant and amphitheater.
The festivities kick off at 9 a.m. CST with a ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. at 1499 Westel Road, I-40 off exit 338 in Westel. Flatrock Staff and State Officials will also be on hand for the event where attendees will witness the first official lap on the track, led by Bittle, followed by the founding members.
