REI is expanding its facility to support growth

Research Electronics International (REI) is breaking ground on a 36,000-foot expansion June 27.

REI was founded in 1983 in Putnam County.

“REI has grown steadily over the past 40-plus years as a leading manufacturer of electronic test equipment for security applications. Now a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, REI is expanding its facility to support growth in engineering, production and Training Center operations,” according to the Chamber of Commerce

This is the company’s second expansion since 2002. The company says the expansion is “driven by new product development, growing markets and increased staffing.”

“The REI Training Center has also seen a rise in attendance, prompting the need for additional project rooms and offices,” according to a release.

Attendees can tour the facility soon after the event to “see the innovation behind their continued success.”
