‘Double Your Donation Day’ critical need for Cookeville Regional Foundation

COOKEVILLE – Double Your Donation Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10 and will benefit patients served by the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. Any gifts made in support of a patient assistance fund or charitable program will be matched dollar for dollar on Double Your Donation Day.

As we near the end of 2020, it should come as no surprise that fundraising has taken a hit for many non-profits, including the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. While many of us have had a break from the everyday norm during the COVID-19 quarantine, the numbers of those who are sick and in need of financial assistance have not slowed down. Donations from the community now are more important than ever before.

“This has been an unprecedented and challenging year for us all, including the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation,” said John Bell, Foundation director. “The Foundation has continued to see high volumes of requests from residents across the Upper Cumberland struggling with disease, sickness or injury. Even though normal fundraising events were not possible this year, the Foundation has continued to assist patients in need throughout our community.”

The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation helps several thousand residents of the Upper Cumberland each year who are suffering with disease, sickness or injury.  The Foundation frequently assists low-income and under-insured patients with things like medication, transportation, specialty equipment, groceries, preventative services, utilities and other critical needs.

Established Patient Assistance Funds include: Heart, Hospice, Pediatric, Cancer, Diabetes, Mental Health and General Fund-Caring Hands. Established Programs include: Pink Ribbon, Lung Fund, Pet Therapy, Art for Healing, Community Health, Carmen’s Fund, Angel Garden, Donated Medical Equipment Closet and others.

One hundred percent of donations made to the Foundation are used for charitable programs and services that assist residents living in the fourteen counties of the Upper Cumberland.

“We are asking that anyone in the Upper Cumberland that is able to give, to please do so on Tuesday, Nov. 10, so that we may continue to provide critical assistance and charitable aid to struggling patients throughout our community,” said Bell.

All gifts made as a part of Double Your Donation Day will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $25,000. Gifts may be made online at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org, by calling 931-783-2003 or by sending a check to CRMC Foundation, 1 Medical Center Blvd, Cookeville TN 38501 with a date of Nov 10 indicated on the check.
