The Doodle is known for its catfish dinners, liver and customer service

Putnam County – Chris and Gary Henry have been busy lately.

The duo recently secured a permanent location for their other business, Henry Brother’s Roofing, at 20 E Borden Street in Cookeville. Now they have dipped their toes in the restaurant game after purchasing and rebranding long-standing Cookeville diner The Dipsy Doodle.

Now, simply, The Doodle.

“Come help us celebrate the grand re-opening of The Doodle,” said the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber). “The Doodle is known for its catfish dinners, liver and amazing customer service.”

After the rebrand, The Doodle was remodeled.

“The Doodle has gotten a face-lift, and it is time to celebrate new ownership with the same timeless recipes,” said the Chamber.

The Doodle, located at 2331 W Broad St, Cookeville is open Tuesday and Wednesday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. They are closed on both Sunday and Monday.

“We have some awesome staff at The Doodle,” according to The Doodle. “… We are making the Doodle great again.”
