COOKEVILLE – Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) will host its quarterly health fair from 7-10 am. Saturday, Oct. 11. The health fair is open to the public and provides an opportunity for community members to participate in affordable health screenings to stay abreast of their health.
Numerous affordable screenings are available, including:
• Blood pressure
• Cholesterol and lipid profile
• Vitamin D level
• Bone density
• Prostate specific antigen
• Complete blood count
• Oxygen saturation
• Complete chemistry profile
• Thyroid profile
• Hemoglobin A1C
• Blood type
• Pulmonary function test
• Testosterone level
Fasting is recommended for 12 hours before either the complete chemistry profile or lipid profile is drawn. Blood is drawn only once even if you have all lab studies done.
The health fair will be held in the hospital’s Education Center located inside the east entrance of the hospital beside the emergency room. Registration is required to attend.
