MCMINNVILLE – In a statement from General Manager Bill Rogers on its website, Caney Fork Electric Cooperative (Caney Fork) announced that “in light of the recent increases in COVID-19 cases in Tennessee,” the coop was closing all its lobbies effective Wednesday, July 22 until further notice.

Caney Fork stressed that while its lobbies are closed, the employees were still on the job and would continue to serve its customers.

If an appointment is needed, customers are advised to contact the local Caney Fork office to set up a time. The use of face masks is encouraged for all in-person meetings.

“This is not an action that we take lightly; we understand our responsibility to our membership, and this is our way to help ensure that we will be able to continue offering quality service while protecting both our members and employees,” said the statement.

Anyone with concerns or questions is encouraged to contact their local office.
