New hours will be effective Monday, Oct. 16
Cookeville – Cookeville Regional Urgent Care (Urgent Care) has expanded hours to serve those “uh-ohs” that happen after 7 p.m.
Urgent Care, located on N. Cedar Avenue in Cookeville across from the CRMC Emergency Room (ER), will be open Monday to Sunday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will also offer imaging services at the Imaging Center at the hospital’s main campus.
“We have heard the community and their need for urgent care to be open later in the evenings. Families need a place to go and be seen for small and minor emergencies or for a child who spikes a fever at 8:30 p.m. We are thrilled to extend these hours and help keep our community healthy. We will also offer imaging, like X-rays, etc. While not currently on-site at Urgent Care, families can go across the street, entering through the ER, and from there, they will bypass the emergency room, and our imaging staff will take care of them,” said Buffy Key, CEO of Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Urgent Care is unique because it can securely connect the patient’s medical records to the CRMC medical center. It is all the same system.
“When a patient comes to Urgent Care, we can see their information from previous hospital visits,” said Jessica Birdwell, manager at Urgent Care. “It is convenient to be close to the medical center and have access to their services. We are excited to offer imaging and extend hours for our patients.”
Urgent Care is located at 340 N. Cedar Avenue in Cookeville and is open Monday- Friday, 7 a.m.- 11 p.m. For more information, call (931) 783-5353 or visit www.crmchealth.org.
