“In Awe of Christmas” is the theme

Cookeville – The Cookeville Christmas parade, themed “In Awe of Christmas” is set to roll through downtown Cookeville December 9 at 6 p.m.

“To register your float or entry, apply online or swing by the Chamber at 1 W. First Street in Cookeville to grab a paper copy,” said Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter.

To fill out the form online visit HERE. In person applicants can submit applications to April Maynard or Angie Wells at the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber).

“Get ready to be amazed by the holiday magic and creativity on display,” says the Chamber.

The magic of the season – Cookeville knows how to Christmas.

The deadline to enter is Nov. 30. On Tuesday, Dec. 5, the Chamber will hold the parade meeting where a representative of each float must attend at one of two meeting times: 10 to 11 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The parade will kick into to gear that Saturday, Dec. 9 when parade participants will line up from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The parade starts at 6 p.m. If the event is rained out, Monday, Dec. 11 is the makeup date.
