Bill Boyer was quick to step in and safely rescue the little stowaway
“You never know what the workday will bring at Chick-fil-A Cookeville! Yesterday, we had an unexpected surprise in our drive-thru, a guest had a cat hiding in their engine bay,” according to a social media post by Chick-fil-A Cookeville.
Gollum the kitten is doing fine after Cookeville manager, Bill Boyer, rescued the family pet from the family car’s engine compartment earlier this week.
“Thankfully, one of our Directors, Bill, was quick to step in and safely rescue the little stowaway. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and for moments like these that make each day memorable,” according to the restaurant.
Gollum, who belonged to the customer, had been missing for three days at the time of the rescue, according to reports.
It’s always great to get good news on a Sunday, and this is your fix for the day.
