Companies, providers needed for Veteran’s Career and Resources Expo

COOKEVILLE – The Highland’s Economic Partnership and the American Job Center are partnering to coordinate a Veteran’s Career and Resources Expo on Nov. 9 at the Leslie Towne Center. The agencies are looking for businesses who are now hiring and Veterans resource providers who would like to participate.

The event will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with exclusive access for veterans during the first three hours. The event is designed as a one stop service opportunity for veterans.

Life Church will be present with their DUO Missions service trucks for medical screenings, food, hair cuts etc. More info on DUO is available at https://www.duomobilemission.com/convoys-1

The Mobile American Job Center will be present to provide the full range of AJC services on site, https://www.tn.gov/workforce/jobs-and-education/job-search1/mobile-american-job-centers/mobile-american-job-centers-redirect1/services.html.

County Veteran Services Officer will be present to assist with VA Disability and Benefits claims along with Veteran Service Organizations like American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, etc.
