COOKEVILLE – Get those “boo-tiful” costumes ready.
Cookeville Leisure Services is offering a new “Come As You Aren’t” virtual costume contest Oct. 19-26 with categories for children, adults and groups.
“If you love getting dressed up for Halloween, we encourage you to go ahead and work on those costumes even if you don’t plan on wearing them in a public setting this year,” Amy Davis of Cookeville Leisure Services said. “This virtual contest offers an alternative way to show off your creative attire.”
Categories for children (17 and under) and adults (18 and up) include spookiest, cutest and most creative.
Categories for groups (two or more people) include best movie/TV theme and best all around.
“Groups may include families, couples, friends or even co-workers who coordinate their costumes in frightfully fun, creative ways,” Davis said.
Participants may post their photos on the Cookeville Leisure Services Facebook page starting Oct. 19, when the “Come As You Aren’t” contest announcement appears. Entries will be taken through Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.
Winners, to be chosen by Cookeville Leisure Services judges, will receive fall-themed prize baskets.
