On Aug. 23 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tennessee Tech is holding its annual College Town Kickoff, and if you own a business or want to promote a business, it’s game time. The event is “a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business, build connections, and get involved in one of Cookeville’s most exciting student-focused events.”
Here is a handy guide on how to get involved, and if you plan to participate, fill out the Business & Community Involvement form HERE. It’s that easy. Participating businesses will be included in the event’s official “Shop & Dine Guide,” handed out on site and featured online.
The inclusion deadline is Aug. 1.

Ther will be road closure beginning at 6 a.m. Aug. 23 and lasting until 2 a.m. Aug. 24. The event will welcome 2,000 new and returning Tech students who will party with:

- Carnival Games & Activities
- Zip Line
- Climbing Wall
- Ferris Wheel
- Food Trucks
- Shopping and Dining Specials
- Community Booths
- Kids Zone
- and more
Tech says it’s going down and time to showcase your business or simply enjoy the party, the city, and the vibe.
