Chamber Highlights Restaurant’s Long-Standing Community Presence
(UCBJ) – The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will host a ribbon-cutting with Chili’s Grill & Bar on Thursday, June 18, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at 1428 Interstate Drive.
The restaurant is celebrating its newly completed remodel, positioned as both a design refresh and a celebration of the team behind the restaurant’s continued performance, including a full refresh of the interior, bar area and exterior, designed to bring a more vintage-inspired feel.
According to the Chamber, the redesign draws inspiration from Chili’s original 1975 concept with throwback décor, neon lighting and updated finishes.
“Chili’s has long been a recognizable part of Cookeville’s dining landscape, and this remodel reflects both its history and its continued investment in the community,” according to the Chamber. “It is always exciting to see long-standing local businesses reinvest in their spaces while continuing to serve residents and visitors alike.”
The exterior upgrades are intended to “increase visibility from Interstate Drive.” The Cookeville location has served the community since 1996.
“Chili’s has been a consistent contributor to the local dining economy and this investment demonstrates a continued commitment to Cookeville,” the Chamber added. “We are proud to support businesses that grow with the community and maintain strong ties to local customers and employees.”
The restaurant has ranked in the top 20% of the Chili’s brand for eight consecutive years, according to Managing Partner Derek Bennett and continues to set record sales.
Bennett says he appreciates his team’s performance.
“Come see the new look and help us celebrate a team and a location that truly deserve it,” according to the Chamber.
The ribbon cutting is open to the public. Chili’s is open Sunday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information, call (931) 372-0014.
