CHC Mechanical Contractors extends safety record to four years accident-free

COOKEVILLE –In the HVAC construction industry, maintaining a strong safety record is synonymous with success. And for CHC Mechanical Contractors, recording four straight years without a lost-time accident is a huge win.

“Our team’s commitment to safety is truly remarkable, and it’s a reflection of the character of our employees,” said Garry Floeter, president of CHC Mechanical Contractors. “For nearly 50 years, we’ve built a culture that helps keep our people safe and that leads to better quality for our clients.”

A lost-time accident is an OSHA recordable incident in which an employee is not able to return to work or is assigned restricted work on the day or shift following the incident. And for the past four years, CHC Mechanical has not experienced a single lost-time accident.

“CHC Mechanical continues to show consistently exceptional workers’ comp results,” said Stuart Oakes, vice president of TIS Insurance’s construction division. “To have four consecutive years without a lost-time accident, in an industry that typically has a high frequency of claims, shows the commitment to excellence throughout the company. Safety continues to be the highest of priorities at CHC, and their results are proof of this.”

CHC Mechanical Contractors employees celebrated the safety milestone with a special lunch.

“I’m extremely proud of what our team has been able to achieve, especially over the past four years,” said Floeter. “But I also know that the best is yet to come. Because of our team’s dedication to safety, I expect to be celebrating again around this time next year.”
