The maps showcase the scenic beauty and the local businesses

Tne Tennessee Centrail Trail and the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) recently braved the cold weather and cut the ribbon on it trail map unveiling.

Local officials and citizens were on hand for the event.

“Today, we happily braved the cold and celebrated the official unveiling of the Tennessee Central Trail’s Tourism Trail Maps that will be added along the 4.23-mile trail. The Tennessee Central Trail is a beautiful and accessible nine-foot-wide paved path for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts,” according to the Chamber.

The maps, designed by Megan Atkinson, showcase “not only the scenic beauty of the trail but also the local businesses that support this incredible community asset,” according to a release.

You can check them out at the following spots along the trail:

  • Cookeville Depot
  • Mahler Avenue/Bell Hall
  • Cinderella Park
  • Algood Community Center

“Lastly, a huge shoutout to Drew Wilkinson of UC SORBA for building the kiosks. We encourage you to pay attention to the maps and take advantage of the trail with family and friends,” according to the Chamber.
