CC Playhouse hosts fundraiser for Sgt. York Center for Peace and Valor!

SERGEANT YORK: THE PLAY premieres one night only for VIP viewing

CROSSVILLE –The Cumberland County Playhouse will host a special VIP premiere of SERGEANT YORK: THE PLAY on June 25 to raise funds to support the Sgt. York Center Peace and Valor, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the building of the Sgt. York Center for Peace and Valor.

This will be a one-time opportunity to interact with the writer/producer, actor and Alvin’s family to learn behind the scenes details of Sgt. Alvin C. York’s life and the making of the play. 

The event will feature Sgt. York’s children and grandchildren during a VIP social hour with refreshments and live bluegrass music.

Alvin York’s family antiques and memorabilia along with other collectibles will launch the silent auction from 6 – 7 p.m. CST.

SERGEANT YORK: THE PLAY will begin at 7:15 p.m. starring Greg Helton followed by a talk-back session, featuring the play’s creator, Lisa Soland and Sgt. York’s Family.
