COOKEVILLE – The Biz Foundry announces the grand openings of its newest locations Nov. 20 in Sparta and Nov. 21 in McMinnville. Each site will offer branches of their entrepreneur center and coworking spaces with Gig service available.

The Biz Foundry is a non-profit organization working for entrepreneurs and innovators in the Upper Cumberland. They offer workspaces, workshops and events that support entrepreneurs and innovative collaboration. Some of the tools and resources that they provide include education, networking, peer support, mentorship and access to capital.

The Sparta office, at 21 N. Main, is the first property that is owned by the Biz Foundry instead of being leased. The building was built in 1910 and has been totally remodeled with co-working spaces, offices, a kitchen and a conference room.

The McMinnville location, at 118 S. Court Square,is in a very historic site, City Lot #1. It was the original hardware store in McMinnville, and the original city cistern is located in its basement. It’s located right on the square, just a couple of doors down from the Chamber.

The McMinnville site was also a total remodel and now features four private offices, conference space for community access (for the community to rent for events), kitchen space and several coworking spaces.

Floor plans for the McMinnville and Sparta locations can be found on The Biz Foundry’s website.

The Biz Foundry invites everyone to its grand opening celebrations at the the Biz Foundry Sparta on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4-7 p.m. and at the Biz Foundry McMinnville on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4-7 p.m. Both events are free, but guests are asked to register to participate:
