Award-Winning Report Highlights Economic Development Efforts Across All 95 Tennessee counties
(UCBJ) – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development’s 2025 Annual Report has been named Best in Division – State by the Southern Economic Development Council.
Members of Team TNECD received the recognition during the 2026 SEDC Annual Conference in Bonita Springs, Florida.
“The report showcases Tennessee’s continued economic growth and momentum while highlighting TNECD’s impact across all 95 counties, from business recruitment and rural development to innovation, workforce, disaster recovery, foreign direct investment and more. We’re proud of this recognition and the team behind the work that helps tell Tennessee’s economic development story every day,” according to a release from TNECD.
The report highlights Tennessee’s continued economic growth and momentum while detailing TNECD’s work across all 95 counties. It covers the department’s efforts in:
- Business recruitment
- Rural development
- Innovation
- Workforce development
- Disaster recovery
- Foreign direct investment
