The event will feature a ribbon cutting that symbolizes “the start of Bealls service to the area”

Bealls, the 100-year-old leading, off-price national retailer, has announced it will host a grand opening celebration April 4 in the Old Kroger building at the newly refurbished West Towne Plaza (WTP) at 810 Roosevelt Drive in Sparta.

Wyatt Woeltje and Highland Capital bought floundering WTP more than a year ago. At that time, it had less than 55% occupancy. Now, the location is more than 95% occupied. Woeljte says the WTPs lineup wants to diversify the offerings at the Plaza to “bring a unique value and draw consumer traffic.”

“Bringing Bealls to Sparta has been exciting for us,” said WTP Principal owner Wyatt Woeltje of Highland Capital. “Negotiations were thorough and productive, focusing on aligning our mutual goals for community engagement and retail success. Bealls is a respected retailer with a commitment to quality and affordability, making them a perfect fit for the shopping center and the local consumer base.”

The Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand for the event.

“This special occasion will celebrate the opening of their new store inviting the community to join in the festivities,” according to the Chamber.

The event will feature a ribbon cutting that symbolizes “the start of Bealls service to the area” and begins at 8:45 a.m.

“Attendees can look forward to exploring the store and discovering a variety of products,” according to the Chamber.

“Everyone is welcome to come and share in this joyful moment,” according to the Chamber.
