Facility hoping for early February opening

Sparta – “For the love of the game,” Sparta will soon be the home of a new training facility that will provide camps and private lessons to aspiring athletes.

Diamond Athletics (DA) is looking to open its new location at 180 Churchhill Drive in Sparta at the beginning of Feb., according to a statement by the company.

“We are working on the facility and hoping to open the first week of February,” said DA.

The facility says there are some loose ends before the doors can officially open.

“There are a few things I’m looking for,” according to a Facebook post. “If you or someone you know has any used baseballs or softballs you want to get rid of them, please contact us.”

If you can help with that or have any other questions call 931-256-8007

“Thank for all the support we’ve received,” said DA. “We are excited to be opening this up for our community.”

The Baseball/Softball facility offers pitching, batting, virtual reality and private lessons. For more information, email Diamond.Athletics.bw@gmail.com.
