Shippers use several criteria use to judge which carriers deserve the honor
Cookeville – Logistics Management magazine readers have acknowledged Averitt Express as an outstanding transportation and logistics provider for the publication’s 40th Quest for Quality Awards.
This year’s recognition marks an incredible 25 years of consecutive acknowledgment for Averitt. The Quest for Quality Awards survey is a comprehensive study on shipper satisfaction within the transportation and logistics sector. There are several criteria shippers use to judge which carriers deserve the honor, including: on-time performance, customer service, ease of doing business, and overall value as a service provider.
This year, Averitt secured high rankings in five key categories:
- Truckload Dry Freight
- 3PL Transportation Management
- 3PL Value-Added Services
- South/South Central Regional LTL Carrier
- Expedited Services
Each of these five categories represents Averitt’s five unique service units: LTL, Truckload, Distribution & Fulfillment, Dedicated and Integrated. To have an award represented for each is testament to the reliability and diverse solutions the company provides.
“We are honored to be recognized again by the shipping community for our continued hard work and dedication,” said Barry Blakely, Averitt’s president and COO. “Our drivers and associates are committed to ensuring reliable and quality service to our customers, and we are eager to continue delivering on that commitment.”
Since the program began in 1984, Averitt has garnered more Quest for Quality awards than any other carrier in the South.
