COOKEVILLE – As part of ongoing efforts to show appreciation for its driving force, as well as in commemoration of 50 years as a team, Averitt Express is celebrating Driver Appreciation Week (Sept. 12-18) with events throughout its network.

This year’s festivities include giveaways, grab-and-go meals and other events at Averitt’s facilities. There are also daily prize drawings for wireless headsets, GPS units, gift cards, televisions, iPads and more.

For the grand prize, five over-the-road drivers will have their names drawn to be assigned a brand-new Freightliner truck.

“Our driving force is one of the most important reasons we’ve experienced success since 1971,” said Gary Sasser, Averitt’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Much like 2020, this year has once again presented unique challenges. Throughout everything we’ve faced, our associates have delivered an incredible performance that has put us in great position to share an even brighter future together.”

As another way to celebrate Driver Appreciation Week, Averitt produced a special video honoring its associates. To watch the video, visit InsideAveritt.com/DAW2021.
