Partnership is a win for both the Football program, the university and the student athletes
Tennessee Tech University and Averitt have announced a new chapter in their growing partnership.
Averitt has been named the official equipment transportation provider for the Golden Eagles Football team, according to a release.
“Through its specialized production and event service unit, On Tour Logistics, Averitt will transport gear and equipment to all of Tennessee Tech’s away games this fall. The first haul begins on Sept. 26 ahead of the Golden Eagles facing off against Tennessee State University in Nashville,” according to the release.
Casey Fox, director of athletics at Tennessee Tech, says the partnership is a win for both the Football program, the university and the student athletes.
“Averitt’s support helps us focus on what matters most – preparing to win. Their commitment to our university and community is deeply appreciated,” he said.
Since 2023, Averitt and Tennessee Tech have had a relationship that started when the two collaborated to launch a new minor in operations, logistics, and supply chain management through the Department of Business. Averitt also sponsors the Averitt Express Baseball Complex and contributed to recent renovations at Tucker Stadium.
“This is more than just logistics—it’s personal,” said Danny Crooks, vice president of corporate transportation at Averitt and a Tennessee Tech Football alumnus. “As someone who proudly wore the Golden Eagles jersey, it’s an honor to help today’s team succeed. We’re thrilled to support them on and off the field.”
