Arvo is a Top 5 Finalist in Nashville’s Startup Showdown at 3686

NASHVILLE – Cookeville entrepreneur Alane Boyd, co-founder & President of Arvo, is a top five finalist for Panoramic Ventures’ next Startup Showdown pitch competition for early-stage startups at this year’s 3686 entrepreneurial festival hosted by Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN) Sept. 27-29 at the historic Marathon Music Works in Nashville.

Boyd made it through hundreds of startup applications to be one of the 25 semifinalists that attended a Mentor Day to refine her pitch further and then was selected as one of the five finalists to compete in front of a panel of guest investor judges at 3686. The winner of the Startup Showdown will win a $120,000 investment prize and join the Panoramic portfolio.

When Boyd is asked how she feels about the competition, Boyd said, “I am over the moon excited. I feel like I’ve already won getting to be in the top 5. I have an amazing software that is solving real problems for businesses. I am going to be the best I can be at the competition.”

Judges for Startup Showdown x 3686 taking place on Wednesday, Sept. 28, include (in alphabetical order):

  • Derrick Morgan, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at KNGDM Group and former Tennessee Titans Linebacker

  • Paul Judge, Managing Partner at Panoramic Ventures
  • Samara Hernandez, Founding Partner at Chingona Ventures

Boyd has been getting a lot of attention with her software platform in the Nashville area since launching only earlier this year. She recently won crowd favorite at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s Pitch and Panel: Tech Edition competition.

To watch Boyd and the other four companies selected as finalists, you can attend the 3686 Festival on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. CT at Marathon Music Works (1402 Clinton St, Nashville, TN 37203). Each finalist will pitch for 5 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from the judges.
