Albuquerque-based reverse osmosis (RO) membrane manufacturer selects Knoxville for next location
Aqua Membranes, a leader in global water treatment, is expanding its manufacturing operations to Knoxville as its first location outside its headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“Opening our new 200,000 sq ft facility marks a major milestone for Aqua Membranes. It’s not just a sign of our growth — it’s a signal to the industry that we’re ready to scale. With this expanded capacity, we can meet the demands of large customer contracts and deliver our technology to partners around the world looking for more sustainable, cost-effective water treatment solutions,” according to an official statement from Aqua Membranes.
Aqua Membranes will create 95 new jobs and invest $6.6 million as the company constructs its newest facility in the Forks of the River Valley Industrial Park. Through the project, the company will significantly expand its manufacturing capacity, support large-scale customer contracts, and accelerate the adoption of its RO membrane technology across the globe.

Founded in 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Aqua Membranes is “has developed a cutting-edge solution that replaces traditional mesh feed channels in spiral wound membranes.”
