The granite, glass and metal producer looks to create over 100 jobs

Baxter – Anatolia Granite (AG) has acquired 56 acres on Ward Mill Road in Baxter and will open a new 140,000 square foot facility there. They look to create between 90 to 110 jobs after construction is completed, according to Upper Cumberland Real Estate Company LLC’s (UCREC) most recent RESCO report.

Anatolia Granite’s original facility opened 20 years ago in Knoxville. The company provides commercial and residential granite, marble, glass and metal products and services. The timeframe for the finished project in Baxter is approximately 18 months.

Construction, supply chain and material delivery play an important role, however.

“There might be a little bit of a blip between now and then just based on the economy,” said Craig Hughes of the UCREC. “But long term that is a huge investment for the Upper Cumberland and we are excited to see that develop.”

Baxter has seen an amazing amount of growth recently with Portobello opening a full-service, state-of-the-art production facility that will serve as the company’s North American headquarters there and AG looking to establish a huge footprint in the area.

“Baxter is an amazing growth story,” said Hughes.

Including the Baxter facility, AG has three facilities with one in Knoxville and Louisville, Kentucky.
