COOKEVILLE – One of the “nice problems to have” for any church experiencing growth is running out of room for its congregation. For Church on the Hill in Algood, that’s meant undergoing an expansion to provide more space for children’s ministry and special events. J. Cumby Construction was selected by the church leadership to lead the way for the expansion.
The 9,000-square-foot project is currently underway, with plans for completion in early summer. It includes larger space for the nursery and children’s areas, as well as providing more room for holding special events to help the church reach the community and surrounding families.
“We’re very thankful for the congregation of Church on the Hill for their devoted support and financial blessing that has made this expansion possible,” said Michele Fisher of the Church on the Hill staff. “We are truly blessed to have such a giving and loving church body. This new space will give us the room we need to expand our ministry and reach more children from our community.”
“Our team is honored to be a part of Church on the Hill’s growth plans,” said Justin Cumby, president of J. Cumby Construction. “Anytime we can play a role in one of our area church’s expansion efforts, we do our best to make the process go as smoothly as possible so we don’t interrupt or interfere with their mission of impacting our community.”
