Cookeville Whiskey Festival enters its second year

A benefit featuring bourbon, scotch and whiskey tasting

COOKEVILLE– The second annual Cookeville Whiskey Festival will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 at the Leslie Town Centre from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

This one-of-a-kind event is hosted by Happy Hour Wine and Liquor and Andrea and Terry Burckhard, agents with New York Life, and will feature samplings from over 100 varieties of regional and international whiskies, bourbons and scotches.

Proceeds will benefit the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation Pediatric Programs.

Event co-Sponsors include Rogers Group/Mark Odom, The Bradley Agency/Kyle Bradley and Kirby Clinical. Additional Sponsors include Debbie Billings/First Realty, Seven Senses Food and Cheer, Food of your Mood, Pops and Gumdrops, Persis Indian Grill, Red Silo, Big Tony’s Pizzeria, Spankies, El Tapatio, and Coca-Cola.

Featured liquor brands to sample include Pappy Van Winkle, William Laine Weller, Orphan Barrel, Yellowstone, Angels Envy, Stagg, W.L. Weller, Johnnie Walker, Royal Salute, Kavalan, The Dalmore, Laphroig, Macallan-Cask, Balvenie-21 Year, Elijah Craig, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, Sazerac and many others.

Tickets are $100 per person in advance, and $125 per person at the door. $35 tickets are available for patrons only wanting to sample beer, wine or food. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted on the premises during the event. Free taxi service is available upon request.
