Marcel Thuy Khang Ngo faces allegations of forgery
On June 9, 2025, the White County Sheriff’s Department initiated an investigation into Marcel Thuy Khang Ngo, a local business co-owner, following allegations of forgery, according to a release by WCSO.
“During the investigation, Detectives discovered evidence that Ngo allegedly applied for a personal loan using the working capital of Elite Automotive, LLC, and the signature of his co-owner without the co-owner’s knowledge or consent,” according to the release.
White County detectives and the Tennessee Department of Revenue uncovered additional evidence against Ngo following further investigation, according to the WCSO. The evidence discovered suggests that the NGO “had altered or changed the VIN plates on two vehicles registered in his name.”
On Nov. 12, 2025, the White County grand jury returned a sealed indictment charging Ngo with the following:
- Forgery ($10,000 – $60,000)
- Three counts of Alteration of a VIN
According to the release, Ngo was arrested Nov.17, 2025, served with the indictment, and booked into custody under a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear for arraignment in White County Criminal Court Nov. 21, 2025.
“The White County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that this remains an active judicial matter, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” according to WCSO.
