Cantadora Wellness addresses issues like strained relationships with food
Cantadora Wellness located at 101 Hill Lane in Livingston will host its grand opening Oct. 1. The Cookeville – Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand for the event.
“Their mission is to help you nurture your physical, emotional and mental well-being, with a focus on healing trauma stored in the body,” according to the Chamber.
Cantadora Wellness addresses issues like strained relationships with food, intimacy and unexplained health problems, guiding you through a process of healing by listening to your body, according to the Chamber.
“Their Psychotherapy With Equine Interactions program, featuring Clydesdales, supports this journey. Come learn more about how they can help you,” said the Chamber.
A “Somatic Session” as it is known is a holistic therapeutic approach emphasizing the “mind-body” connection and is based on a premise that trauma and stress can become trapped in the body. Those stresses would then manifest as physical or somatic symptoms. Somatic therapy incorporates deep breathing, relaxation, exercises and movement.
The goal is to release stored tension and trauma in the body.
