WCTE is providing three different booths, with activities themed around favorite PBS KIDS shows

McMinnville – WCTE PBS invited families to attend the annual back to school bash at the Gilley Pool in McMinnville, sponsored by Ben Lomand. This free family event is taking place July 18, from 10am to 2pm at the Gilley Pool at 500 Garfield St. in McMinnville.

Admission is free for children 12 and under.

WCTE is providing three different booths, with activities themed around favorite PBS KIDS shows and characters such as Alma’s Way, Splash and Bubbles, and Work it Out Wombats. Each booth will provide fun learning opportunities, with a focus on music, art, science and more.

These will be set up in the green space adjacent to the pool. Children will also be able to choose a free book to take home at the end of the day, and free popsicles are also available.

“We wanted to make this year’s Gilley Pool party bigger and better than ever,” said Sarah Savage, Education and Engagement Coordinator for WCTE. “We’re excited about the variety of free, fun activities we have planned. Huge thank you to Ben Lomand and the Gilley Pool for making this event possible!”

In the event of inclement weather, it will be held July 20.
