Algood store holds reopening event and ribbon cutting

Algood – If you walk around the Walmart store in Algood you will see some freshly minted changes to the layout. The store recently “reopened” with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) to show off the changes to the public.

At the event, the retail giant donated $2,000 to Algood Elementary and the Putnam County Animal Shelter and $5,000 to the City of Algood.

Donation – Algood Elementary

“Major improvements have been made to the store’s layout,” said the Chamber in a release, “including wider aisles, specially designed signs for easier navigation and an updated apparel selection. Plus, there’s a new Grab & Go section to enhance your shopping experience!”

The store also added store pickup parking for “even more convenience.”

Donation – Friends of Putnam County Animal Clinic

“To thank the local community, Walmart kindly donated funds to Algood Elementary School, the City of Algood and Friends of The Putnam County Animal Shelter. Visit today and discover all the amazing changes for yourself,” said the Chamber.

The Algood Walmart is Located at 589 W Main St, Algood.
