First event with UCAR will be the association’s annual awards banquet

Lavar Harris, a recent Detroit Mi. transplant to the Upper Cumberland, is the new Associate Executive at the Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors (UCAR). UCAR says Harris is a “dynamic association executive with over 20 years of experience in financial strategy and membership engagement.”

“The new Association Executive brings a wealth of expertise in budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and social media strategy,” according to a release by UCAR. “With a strong background in financial planning, event profitability, and board collaboration, he is well-equipped to lead UCAR into a new era of growth and innovation.”

Harris is a retired licensed realtor with what UCAR says is a “understanding of industry trends.”

“Lavar is committed to enhancing the association’s value, digital presence, and membership engagement. Their extensive leadership experience in nonprofit and professional associations has resulted in a proven track record in membership growth, leadership development, and large-scale event planning,” according to the release.

When asked why he was the person for the job, Harris didn’t hesitate.

“I have experience in member-based associations, and I have a passion for real estate,” he said.

Harris’ first event with UCAR will be the association’s annual awards banquet on April 11, 2025.

“The Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors is confident that the new Association Executive will bring innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to the organization, driving forward its mission to support and enhance the real estate profession in the region,” according to UCAR.
