Van Buren has highest unemployment number in the region
Unemployment rates are up slightly in the Upper Cumberland.
Warren County has a rate of 4.1. That number is up from 4% last month. Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland, Cannon County sits at 3.3%, up from 3.1% in August, while Clay sits at 4.4%. Cumberland County sits at 4.2% and DeKalb County landed at 4.5%, up from 4.3%.
Fentress stands at 3.7% while Van Buren landed at 4.7%. Jackson County stands at 4.2%, up from 3.9%, and Macon County’s number stands at 3.3%. Overton remains at 3.5% while Putnam sits at a 3.7%. Smith landed at 3.1% and White County landed at 3.9%.
Pickett County rose from 3.6% unemployment to 3.7% in September.
