SPARTA – Secretary of State Tre Hargett will present a grant in White County this week.
The monies, distributed through the Tennessee State Library and Archives, will fund library technology training and microfilm reader/scanner purchases.
The White County Public Library, 11 N. Church St., Sparta, will receive $8,357.40.
Hargett will make the presentation from 11:45 a.m.-12:05 p.m. Thursday. Sen. Paul Bailey (R-Sparta) and Rep. Paul Sherrell (R-Sparta) have also been invited to participate in the event.
Hargett is making similar same-day presentations in Blount, Morgan, Rhea and Roane counties.
