UPPER CUMBERLAND – County unemployment rates for February were released Thursday and show a rate decrease in 21 counties, an increase in 61 counties, while jobless numbers remained the same in 13.
In the Upper Cumberland, rates decreased in just one county, Smith, and remained the same in another, Putnam. Year-to-year numbers, however, were more optimistic: Only Pickett (14.4) saw a jump from 2013.
