Shooter injured two workers, found dead

A shooter injured two workers, one was in critical condition per last report, at the Airport Drive Hutchinson plant in Livingston this morning, Friday, Dec. 20.The shooter was later found dead near I-40 in Crossville.

The Livingston Police Department has released a statement on the tragic events.

From the release:

"At approximately 7:00 a.m. December 20, 2024, officers responded to a shooting incident in the parking lot of the Hutchinson Plant located at 315 Airport Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered that two employees had sustained gunshot wounds, while the suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Given the gravity of the situation, assistance from the district attorney's Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were requested to aid in the ongoing investigation.
Such tragic events profoundly impact our community and today we witnessed the remarkable support offered by local residents to those affected. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families impacted and we extend our sincere gratitude to the district attorney’s Office, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and all local, state, and federal agencies, including Overton County Sheriff’s Department and their emergency services, for their prompt response and commitment during this difficult time.”
