PUTNAM COUNTY – TDOT advises travelers that U.S. 70 N (Monterey Hwy./SR-24) in Putnam County is closed at log mile 30.45 due to a slide and failing drainage pipe. The site of the closure is between Mill Creek Road and Sandy Stone Camp Road near Monterey. Road closure warnings are posted on U.S. 70 N and on I-40. Repairs are expected to take three days. As soon as repairs are completed, the road will be reopened to traffic.
