COOKEVILLE – In honor of International Tennessee Whiskey Day, Tour the Upper Cumberland is celebrating with the announcement of a bourbon bus trip to Company Distilling in Townsend prior to their opening. Set for Sunday, June 5, the “Bourbon with the Best” tour aimed at bourbon enthusiasts is limited to 20 guests and will provide a behind-the-scenes viewpoint of the new location plus a chance to spend time with Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and the Company Distilling team.

Prior to acquiring ownership of the tour bus company in January of this year, Molly Brown had long-standing relationships within the tourism industry in Tennessee, especially along the Tennessee Whiskey Trail.

“While we provide tours across the 14-county region for visitors, we also want to offer day trips for locals,” said Brown. “It only makes sense to build on established relationships with Tennessee tourism partners like Company Distilling, offering them exposure to a new customer base, while creating a unique experience for Upper Cumberland residents.”

Company Distilling is an unlikely assemblage of friends with a history of building distilleries, crafting exceptional spirits and bringing people together. Company is noted for its hand-crafted collection of products, designed to gather around with the best of company.

Tour the Upper Cumberland guests will be among some of the first to “gather around” at the new 4,000-square-foot tasting room and distillery set on 13.5-acres along the Little River and Townsend Greenway. The tour will take guests inside the production room where they will learn more about the Company story, products and process. They will also take home a signed bottle of Company Distilling Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

For bourbon lovers wanting to “gather around” and board the bourbon bus, tickets are on sale now at tourtheuc.com/book-a-tour. Pricing is $199 per person. Participants must be 21 years or older to purchase and board, and seating is limited. Tour will depart at 9 a.m. CT and return by 5 p.m. CT.

Ticket includes:

  • Transportation to and from Company Distilling – Townsend
  • Behind-the-scenes experience with Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and team
  • Brunch/Lunch (entrée provided, Dutch-treat for drinks or add-ons)
