TNECD’s Marketing Assistance Program in third round

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced today the opening of round three of the Marketing Assistance Program (MAP), which helps give Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 counties the resources needed to gain additional economic development opportunities.

Each county chosen to participate in MAP will receive an up-to-date website complete with content, video, and photography specific to their county at no charge to the communities. The program also includes a training session that shows MAP participants how to operate, manage and update their website.

This is the first year eligibility for the program has been extended to Tier 2 counties. In the first two rounds, MAP was offered only to Tier 3 and Tier 4 counties.

“The Marketing Assistance Program is a great resource for our Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 counties,” TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe said. “With the assistance of this program, each county chosen to participate will be given the resources it needs to be successful in attracting new and expanding businesses, which in turn will be beneficial to our state as a whole.”

Online application submissions for MAP are being accepted now through Feb. 2, 2018, and recipients placed in the program will be notified on Feb. 16, 2018.
