Cookeville – The Cookeville History Museum presents “Memories of the Cookeville Pottery Company” an exhibit commemorating the history of this pottery company that operated in Cookeville for decades.
Crossville – Tuna Does Vegas– This hilarious comedy re-unites the loveable and eccentric characters from the third smallest town in Texas as they take a rambling romp in “Sin City”. The hilarity begins when oddball-conservative radio host Arles Struvie (Patty Payne) announces on air that he and his wife Bertha Bumiller (Jason Ross) are heading to Vegas to renew their wedding vows…but everyone in Tuna, TX goes along for the ride! Tuna Does Vegas will feature all your favorite characters from the smash hit Red, White and Tuna with some hysterical new characters too! The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two actors, making this send-up on life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all the inhabitants of Tuna – men, women, as well as Vegas showgirls, and more! Crossville – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr.– The famous high-flying car is ready to land on our stage and save the day in this exhilarating adaptation of the blockbuster musical and beloved classic film. Eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, sets about restoring an old race car with the help of his children Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car is magic and has the ability to float and take flight. When the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself, the family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher. Filled with amazing stage spectacle and unforgettable songs from the songwriters of Mary Poppins, including the Academy Award nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR. is a high-flying, fun-filled adventure that audiences of all ages will find “Truly Scrumptious.” Show runs Feb. 1 to Feb. 28.
