Tennessee Tech’s next College Town Weekend starts Feb. 24

COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech University’s next College Town Weekend starts Friday, Feb. 24.

The student affairs division at Tech promotes College Town Weekends and makes schedules of events to encourage student participation.

Laundry Bingo will be on Feb. 24, digitally via Zoom at 7 p.m. During this time, participants will play rounds of bingo and winners are gifted laundry supplies which can be picked up the next day in MS Cooper’s Residential Life front office. Paint Your Pet takes place Feb. 25, in person from 6-8:30 p.m. at The Art Jam in Cookeville, located at 111 W. First St. All it takes is sending a picture of your pet then leaving with a painting of your pet you painted yourself. The Cookeville Performing Arts Center hosts the play “Popcorn Falls” Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m. More information and ticket purchases are located at https://www.cookeville-tn.gov/333/Online-Tickets.

The Tech Faculty Jazz Band will play Feb. 25, in the Wattenbarger Auditorium at the Bryan Fine Arts Building from 7:30-8:30 p.m. No fee required to attend. Guest artist David Bandman will perform also.

On Feb. 26, the Women and Men’s Basketball Doubleheader vs. UT Martin is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.at Hooper Eblen. Free admission for students.

The Cummins Falls Marathon and Half Marathon start Feb 26 at 8 a.m. at Cummins Falls State Park. Visit https://cumminsfallsmarathon.com/ for more details about how to join.
